About us:
Prodigi is a rapidly growing, profitable tech startup, providing a global printing API. Following a recent merger, we’re looking to grow our team of developers in Cardiff.
We’re busy building a simple, easy to use API for printing stuff- from t-shirts to stickers, from photographs to canvases. Our customers range from some of the largest companies in the world, to one man bands.
Our tech stack is largely hosted and operated on Azure, in C# .NET and Sql Server, with other bits and pieces thrown in. We have automated builds and deployments, via TeamCity, we write unit tests, and we try to do find a balance between doing things right, and getting things done (so- technical debt does get created, but also gets addressed).
We’re based in Indycube on St Mary’s St in Cardiff, we’ll let you choose a decent chair, and spec your own development machine.
Your main duties will include
  • Working on the main Pwinty API, adding features, fixing bugs, integrating new print partners

  • Help to design and build new systems (currently about to start work on a Shopify App)

We’d like someone who:
  • Takes the initiative- we’re a small company still, so we’ll expect you to take ownership of whatever you work on.

  • Wants to grow with us. As we continue to grow, you’ll be called on to take more responsibility, mentor others and lead teams.

  • Likes automation. Our tech team is currently 3, and we process and print over a million items a month. We manage this by automating aggressively.

Experience that would be useful (though we’re open minded)
  • C# .NET

  • Entity Framework

  • Castle Windsor

  • Designing, building, consuming APIs - what’s a RESTful API- what makes an API easy to use, well designed etc.

  • We use lots of other stuff too- but if you’re the right candidate, you’ll enjoy picking up any new tools or frameworks you don’t already know
