Junior Software Tester

Our IT support team include our Helpdesk and 2nd & 3rd line technical support which supports computer and phone networks, hardware and asset maintenance. Our System Development team delivers Application, Business Process Development and Management Information Services. 
The Junior Software Tester will be responsible for the quality assurance (QA) stage of software development and deployment.  The Junior Software Tester will ensure software is fit for purpose through automated and manual testing.
  • working with senior software tester to ensure testing and QA is carried out on all projects
• working with Account Managers to ensure and assure QA in all projects  
• meeting with system users and BA to understand the scope of projects  
• working with software developers and project support teams  
• identifying business requirements  
• monitoring applications and software systems  
• stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing  
• writing and executing test scripts  
• testing across environments including web and mobile  
• writing bug reports  
• reviewing documentation  
• quality assurance  
• presenting findings to software development and business user teams  
• document analysis  
• communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues  
• contribute to daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives  
• complete demonstrations to the client on the completed features of the system  
• analyse functional and technical specifications and user stories to derive test cases and scenarios • creating test plans for execution by teams at each stage of required process.
