We're looking for a game tester to work on our upcoming tactical FPS Due Process. This position is onsite and will require you to be local to Seattle.
Due Process is an adversarial SWAT shooter that delivers on planning and coordination. Each round, two teams of five confront each other in an attack/defend mission on a procedurally-generated level. Before action, each team draws out a plan of attack or defense using SWAT equipment such as breaching charges, flashbangs, ballistic shields, and night vision goggles.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Detect, research, and document software defects in a bug tracking system. Confirm fixes.

  • Generate bug reports, which clearly describing how the bugs can be reproduced

  • Participate in qualitative user experience feedback

  • Perform ad-hoc testing procedures to find bugs and gameplay issues.

  • Work through test plans to check possible in-game combination problems.

  • Check game for spellings, ratings, technical requirements, and legal issues

  • +6mo gaming experience, intermediate knowledge with PCs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Passion for games

  • Understanding of Software Testing Processes and Best Practices

  • Embedded testing experience in a Game Development Studio

  • Console and/or First Person Shooter game genre testing experience

  • Technical experience/schooling in i.e. Computer Science, Coding Languages, Computer Hardware, Audio, Technical Art and/or Game Design.Knowledge of Gamer Culture strongly recommended for serious applicants

Compensation: $11 / hour, paid monthly
